Introducing to the world of hip-hop two pioneers on the brink of launching a new sound and style to its ever evolving southern underground. Chop (Anthony Johnson) and Cold-Boi (Rufus Johnson) come together to form A-Tenn. With Chop bringing the heat from the Georgia Streets and Cold delivering that West TN swagger over a variety of vicious southern tracks they keep the heads bobbing and the fingers snapping with a sound that cannot be described as just Dirty South. Driven by the desire to staunch the criticism that southern rappers are merely chanting over repetitive infectious beats they set their sights on not only the underground music scene but the mainstream as well. Welcome to A-Tenn (Atlanta, Tenn.) the place where sound and style come together at the border between two of the hottest states in the southern hip-hop world.
Band/artist history
Anthony Johnson AKA Chop, grew up southwest of Atlanta. After graduating college, he bought a house in south Atlanta. Rufus Johnson AKA Cold Boi grew up in Tennessee. Cold made the tracks, I (Chop) had lyrics, put them with Cold's lyrics and made a new sound of music.
