The year 2002 marked the beginning of the rap careers of "Young N Da Restless", which included the artists known as "Dough Boi", "J-Way" and "MVP". Dough Boi and MVP had already known each other for a while but had no aspirations of rapping. J-Way moved into the same apartment building as MVP, and they became good friends. Then he was introduced to Dough Boi soon after his arrival.
The three came together with intentions to form a rap group. They started by making audio tapes on a friends karaoke machine and allowing friends to hear. After a good response from their peers as well as older people throughout the neighborhood, they began to have hopes to be discovered. After participating in rap battles in school as well as other events, they began to enhance their skills and prepared to start recording in a studio. Their first CD was released in 2004 titled "Verbal Crack Volume 1" which was a hit and created a buzz throughout the city of Euclid. The group went on a brief hiatus due to J-Way moving to his father's house, as well as their producer moving out of town. The groups success sparked a lot of jealousy from fellow rappers. This made an even stronger drive to succeed in the rap industry.
In 2005 the group introduced to the world "Verbal Crack Volume 2: The Recipe" and from the response of the people who bought the CD showed progression. They look to reach out to more than just their city to be heard but to the world, and hopefully increase the popularity of Cleveland. They all have the same hopes and dreams and wish to one day reach great heights of success.

Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yeah, we did a few shows out here in Cleveland. We did a show with Paul Wall, Ray Cash and a few more people all through out 2005.
