"I was born on Sunday Morning, God's Day, and I have depended on Him to watch over me my whole life.
I was born with my eyes closed. Many times I have not see the path before me. I have stumbled and fallen.
I was born a Red-Head Step-Child. Nobody's friend. I found it hard to give and receive love. But....
I have become strong through the strength of my beliefs.
I have learned to see ahead of me and make my life a positive influence on others.

Alvina was born in Brooklyn, Ny. She came to Florida to raise her family and begin her career. She is backed up on this CD by the Straightup Blues Band.
The real sleeper here is vocalist Alvina Walcott. She lends a couple of songs to the effort and in my opinion, steals the show. On 110 in the Shade you can feel the heat and Red Headed Step Child is a winner through and through. This is a nice first effort.Contact
