Just wanted to get word out that I am spinning with DJ Heist [definition radio] on WTS radio Saturday nights 5pm-LATE Eastern Standard Time. It's Heist's b-day this weekend so it should be an interesting one. He plays mostly hard techstep tunes while I'm on more of a mellow tip, so you should be able to tell who's who. There should be a webcam as well.

if you've only been messing around for a week, I'd say you're doing fine! If you don't mind me asking, where did you come across such nice sounding samples? I can never seem to find the sounds I'm looking for. Honestly, thats half the reason I sample the hell out of my music collection!
Let me know how the new tune comes along, I'd like to check it out when its done.

Yo man, I wasn't trying to be a dick or nuthin. I guess maybe I'm too gangsta sometimes. "I ride for this sh***, die for this sh***!" HA!
Anyways, you got some decent tunes. Just a little nit-pick w/ 'Sunset', 140 bpm is too slow for dnb, you're more in midtempo breaks territory with that one, but I like it regardless. 'Sunrise' is cool too, I like the mood and feel of them. The titles are fitting. If you made them really interwoven with each other that would be cool.
What I think you should do is stretch them both out to 5-10 minute long players. There are so many nice, smooth, progressive, sounds I'm sure you could spread things out and make nice progressive tunes out of them. I also think a real rich, echoed, jazzy, piano melody would be good to slip in here and there. I swear, as I was listening I could almost hear the notes in my head!
I definitely see the bukem/GLO influence - which I like. Likewise I can also see how you know Caia... We definitely have some similar tas
