The Bedlam Bards are an accoustic band with a rock attitude. We play hard-driving Celtic and Filk music at renaissance festivals, pubs, and conventions. Our weapons of choice include fiddle, guitar, mandola, kazoo, pennywhistle, bones, bodhran, and two strong, manly voices.
We joined up at the Hawkwood Fantasy Faire and have been jamming together ever since.
We live to play live. One special moment for us occurred when seven scantily-clad women tied themselves to a tree in front of our stage . . .
Our musical influences include many Celtic bands, especially those on the Renfaire circuit: the Minstrels of Mayhem, Celtic Stone, Cantiga.
The Bedlam Bards use pawn shop and flea market equipment exclusively.
We sing about Firefly, Serenity, pirate ships, lost love, outlaws, and of course, bondage/discipline.
