We were all in the same college and never really thought about forming a band. However,VD and CG used to play once in a while just for TP. They then found that Rahul also plays the guitar and pramod knows the keyboard. So we thought what the heckk, lets try it out
Initially when we were formed in 2002-03 we had named ourselves "James Band" as in "The names BAND - JAMES BAND" :-)
But then our first performance didnt go exactly as planned and it turned out to be "JAMES BANNED" To say it was OK would be an overstatement.
we had sort of dismantled for a year or so, when we found a new member - PRERAK who played the keys and also sings. We thought since this was our last year in college, lets give it a shot. And we practiced and practiced and practiced till we became better n better. Man, those were amazing times.
We also created some spoofs on some songs which turned out to be really popular in college.
Our performance for the college fest SYMPHONY - 05 turned out to be an awesome one.

Have you performed in front of an audience?
Weve played live 3 times i guess (If u dont count playing to the ppl in CGs house and buliding while practising :-) )
We were supposed to play 5 songs initially but the damn orgainsers asked us to fit in as much as we could in 8 minutes only!!!! We could completed just 2 songs in such a short notice. When we were about to start the 3rd one, the orgainsers said that if we continued we would be disqualified. But we didnt give a damn, and neither did the crowd- they wanted more. And we played and that one was the best song. It made us feel so good. Still gives me goosebumps when i think about it.
Your musical influences
CG is a huge Floyd fan. For him music starts and ends with floyd.
VD & Rahuls influence include ledzep, floyd, metallica,RHCP,etc
Prerak and Pammya are hindi music lovers
Bakshi is into ACDC type stuff and JAL more recenty- every1 luvs JAL currently i guess.
So i guess our band covers almost all genres
