Hip Hop General

Local Expressions from Nyköping, Sweden. Ít used to be about rapping in swedish back in the days when I hung out with my friends in a wack homebuilt studio in Högbrunn. Back in those days, I think it was in 2001, the rap-group was called "Dom Debila" and consisted of Trebil(Shaati), Dj Damp(Shurecut), Alphones and Alcohol(Mr.Sneaky). I was impressed by their rap-skills and wanted to join but I couldn't seem to write any good lyrics in swedish, so I never asked. Time went by and Dom Debila stopped recording songs and didn't do any more performances. I kept on writing lyrics and since I was greatly influenced by the "Looptroop" I started to write in english. The lyrics piled up in my room and computer and one day I told my "Dom Debila" friends about it. They started to write some lyrics in english too and we recorded our first songs together in högbrunn. The recordings sucked since our skills wasn't that well developed and since the studio was wack. But we kept on writing and recording together. Soon we got the chance to record in a real studio and we took it. the song "L.E theme" was recorded and a also a re-recording of "coming up hard" featuring Samson from San Fransisco. We decided to keep on writing and recording in english as a group and Shurecut came up with a suiting name, Local Expressions was formed. Ever since that we've been kicking it in the underground scene of Sweden. We're not the biggest, we're not the best but we've been rocking the few shows we've done. // Nameless - Local Expressions
