Vines temporarily left REZENT to persue his career as a solo singing/rap artist. He went back into the studio producing and recording a new album which displays evidence of massive improvment from over the years since he first started. Vines titled his album Close Up and clames that it is a spotlight that shines on him away from the group. "The audience has seen me with REZENT," Vines said. "Now, they will see us as solo artists away from the group so that they can get to know us, get to know me and see me Close Up. You get it?" Fans say that Vines has improved and is hitting new levels in reinventing his music and himself as the artist. "I try to find new things to do and at the same time stay away from what the other artists are doing when you listen to the radio. This album contains topics that I've never really gone in depth with and felt free to just talk about or comment about. When I listen to my previous records to me they sound like I hit the topic but this album is like yea, we're going into detail now," Vines quotes, "This is the hottest project I've ever done yet. The beats are pretty sick and even other artists that has heard the album were inspired to go back to the studio and do some more tracks." Vines has now finally released his master piece after a couple set backs. It can be found in eight different record stores over the bay area (As listed at www.VinesRZT.net).
Band/artist history
Vines was born in Miami on October 20, 1985 as Irvine Edward Green II. This multi-talented individual began as an artist (Drawing, painting) very early in his life. He attended schools with art classes that developed his talent. He graduated from Gibbs High School in 2004 as a Visual Arts major. Previosly at the age of twelve, Vines expressed a strong interest in music. With the aid of his best friend, Kevin, He began to write lyrics and recorded them using a tape recorder, and a keyboard for background music. With this discovery of new talent, Vines decided to push his passion for music further. He began working on projects as an amature rap artist to develop his ability to write lyrics. By the age of fifteen, Vines discovered that he had a voice for singing. With this new discovery, he began working on new projects, only this time converging different styles together to experiment while he develops his vocal instrument. After completing so many projects over the years, Vines met with another vocal artist who goes by the name of JHazz. Together they clicked up as a group calling themselves Rezent. They began a project together called Direct Impact. This album mixes at least four different urban genres together and many different styles of urban music to create what they call a "Direct Impact". This was Vines first public release. Right after this project, Vines went right back to the studio as a solo artist and recorded his new album Close Up. Those who have heard Vines' new album, and his albums before it say that he has accomplished a massive improvement. He has come a long way and continues to make progress in making improvements in his music.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I'm currently constructing an audio for this album so that I can perform live concerts around the bay area and maybe as far as Orlando here in Florida.
Your musical influences
My influences are mainly B2K, Bone thugsnharmony, and 112. I started off doing hard core rap at age twelve and then started listening more to Bone, and thats when the r&b type vibe started coming out of me and I started singing more. Omarion at the time when he was in the group B2K struck me with their second album they titled, Pandemonium. The thing I liked about it were the beats. They sounded unique and it was something that I've never heard before and compelled me to mimic it but in a way where it suites me and my personality when I'm on the mic as well. Thats when I started getting into making beats and tried to do things that you wouldn't ordinarly hear. 112 is my influence vocally because when I listen to their songs, I actually sit there and try to highlight their octives when they sing their choruses and bridges, and at the same time I teach myself how to do them and how they are supposed to sound.
What equipment do you use?
The usual stuff: computer, mix boards, mics a bunch of software ect.
