Band/artist history
The year was 2004 when the seeds for Surgeons In The Air were planted. Four people grabbed their instruments and put together a small pop-punk emo band. After little to no happenings this band disbanded. Guitarist Kevin Conway and Drummer Christian Stewart continued on with writing songs in a garage. One year later another incarnation of the pop-punk emo band was reunited and began performing songs to little fan fare. In 2005 the band Surgeons In The Air in its first incarnation came into existence. In 2006 the band began to move closer to the sound that they now have. The remnants of the previous sound soon disappeared. At the end of 2006 Kevin and Chris began to focus on how to create music rather than just "put stuff together." In 2007 the duo returned with a hard hitting, improved, polished sound with their EP, "The Curtain Call EP." Now in 2008 Surgeons In The Air have found that they are not punk enough for punk shows, not hardcore enough for hardcore shows, not indie enough for indie shows, not alternative enough for alternative shows... but they still "keep on keeping on." Throughout the years the band has been lucky to consider a number of talented musicians, which include Jeff Nava, Russel Quintana, Dominic Armendariz, John Wurschum, Raun Quintana and Trevor Terrazas (Currently on break from band), as part of the band. Consisting of Guitarist/Vocalist Kevin Conway, Drummer/Vocalist Christian Stewart, and Bassist/Guitarist John Luna, Surgeons in the Air have taken from their many influences and have created music that they simply consider un-fancy, disjointed, rock and roll.
