I'm Nick Viau, and I play guitar. I'm not in a band or anything. I'd like to be, always looking for an opportunity and a group of people that are enthusiastic about the same kinds of music that I'm into. I guess you could say that I am a hobbyist and an enthusiast. Killer Penguin of Death is the name of my band, which consists of only me. I guess it is more of a music project, but "The Nick Viau Project" was to 80s alternative and a tad straight forward. My wife Jessica actually inspired the name, but it kind of fits nicely for my brand of fuzzed-out electric blues. I'm a slide guitar player at heart, but I have a new love for Blues/Folk mandolin...you may hear some electric mando real soon. Have a listen, you'll figure my shit out soon enough, and if you actually think that it is shit, I don't give a damn. Every song was recorded with Acid 3.0 and a computer mic. No mixing board, no tricks, no PODS, or Pro Tools software. Just guitars, amp, and stompboxes. I like to keep it simple. Check out my acoustic stuff at www.soundclick.com/bignickviau
