Caïna was conceived in the winter of 2004, and born in May of this year when the debut demo/e.p "when we are grown we will be strong" was recorded. Caïna was designed to become a continually evolving musical entity, combining the frigid and cold musical framework of the rawest black metal with a post-rock/ambient sound and aesthetic.
The only member of the group is 'A'.Have you performed in front of an audience?I have plans and a genuine desire to play live, as yet unrealised, due to the nature of the 'band'...
Your musical influences
My influences are extremely diverse - from post- rock pioneers Swans and Godspeed You Black Emperor! to extreme music artists such as Burzum, Nargaroth and Judas Iscariot, to singer songwriters such as Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, Vashti Bunyan and Tori Amos, to literary themes (writers who have inspired me include Mishima, Gaiman, LaVey, E.E Cummings, William Blake and many more). I am inspired by almost everything around me..Caina is completely an expression of myself.What equipment do you use?
Guitars, Drums, Piano, Slides, Ebow, Delay, Reverb, Les Paul classic, Boss BR900CD 8-track recorder. Spells.
