The Boyce Edwards Band mainly consist of three brothers and a life long friend. The oldest of the Three brothers, Boyce, the singer/songwriter of the band plays electric ryhthm electric guitar. Dustin, the middle brother plays the drums and percussion, Toby, the youngest brother thumps the bass and sing harmony vocals. The other addition to the band is Hiram Moon, "straight from the hills of Kentucky." Hiram plays lead guitar and he used to drive the van until we found out he didn't have a drivers lisence. "Don't dwell in the past but look forward to brighter days"
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We play live all the time. Mostly right now we are only playing the Dallas/Ft.Worth area in Texas. Although we do some giging in other parts of Texas as well.
Your musical influences
The whole band was influenced early by the outlaws of country. (Waylon, Cash, The Hag, Willie) Later in our musical careers we have been inspired by other Alt. Country bands such as The Mike McClure Band, Cross Canadian Ragweed and Stoney Larue.
What equipment do you use?
Boyce Edwards plays a Schecter 70's model and plays through a Fender Princeton Chorus Toby Edwards plays an American Deluxe Fender Bass and plays through a SWR Workingman cab with a Peavy 700 watt head Hiram Moon plays an American Deluxe Fender Stratocaster and plays through a Peavey Classic 50 amp. He uses a Morely wah and boss pedals. Dustin Edwards plays DW Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Aquarian drumheads and uses Pro-Mark drumsticks. Melody runs on Firestone rubbers and uses Penzoil 10W30 Oil.
