FLiP and J have been writing this stuff for a long time now, and have recently come upon the help and insights of Shaadie. Semi-melodic at times, and almost always toying with some level of chaos, we just write what we like. There's very little theory involved. We let our ideas come out as musical phrases ,and are still refining the process of making coherent statements out of those elements. We started as a blaring grunge static-duo, and are branchihng out now. we don't know what's coming anymore than you do. So, let's just see how this goes.
Band/artist history
Jay and FLiP have been playing in bands together since high school. Shaadie's drumming has been a recent (and wonderful) addition.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, in assorted places. Do we like it? Hellz Yes.
Your musical influences
The Divine/Virgos/Virgos Merlot, Nirvana, Hum, Alice in Chains, Weezer, Foo Fighters, Sonic Youth, Queens of the Stone Age, NIN, Econoline Crush, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, STP, Tom Morello, The Cars, Joy Division, The Beatles, Wes Borland, Chevelle, to name a few.
What equipment do you use?
J - Ibanez guitars, Boss and Danelectro effects, Sovtek and Ibanez amplification. FLiP - Bastardized single-coils, a Boss DS1 and a Dano Cool Cat, A Kustom Head pushing a Peavy Cab, and anything availible. Shaadie - Tama Drums with Zildjian Cymbals
