In a stimulating mix of funky Chicago house grooves , electronic oddities, and a dash of melodic passion, Pleatheristic comes a-pounding. Pleatheristic also has a heck of a live act. Fully embracing the club scene, Pleatheristic strives for pure electronic performance DJ-ing.
Band/artist history
John Carpenter and Roland Ronquillo, the brainpower behind Pleatheristic, started their collaboration in 1988 with their first joint project “Orchidia”. In Orchidia John and Roland experimented into psychedelic charged, funky guitar driven dance music. Ochidia’s attempt to blend the DJ with the live band was met with some great reviews and made their home in Chicago clubs like Metro, Shelter, and MadBar. Eventually this project was put aside to go into a new direction. In 2005 Roland and John reamerged on the scene and are retooled and back with their new project Pleatheristic. This project takes the groove to another level. The song is the groove. Band and DJ have become one.
