Isa (pronounced E-Sah) Abdullah Vines was born in Newark, New Jersey. The son of a military family, and moving often, Isa spent his childhood in Newark, NJ, San Diego, CA and Jacksonville, FL. Hip hop has been his passion since an early age--from battling other MCs at school, to making his own mix tapes in college, Isa kept his dream alive by constantly writing and perfecting his lyrics and delivery at numerous underground shows and clubs across the country. Once he moved back to Jacksonville Isa got involved in the underground scene and released several independent albums through his W.B.U.D. production company. It was one of these underground records that caught the attention of another independent label, Stronghold Records. Since joining Stronghold Records, Isa has completed numerous tracks for an upcoming compilation and a solo album. His versatility, delivery, lyrical content, and appreciation for different genres of music are a lethal combination which you must to hear for yourself to fully appreciate. Isa is definitely one who we can say will have changed hip hop by the time it's all said and done.
