Feels So Right Feels So Right
I'm sure I will add something later, but for now just a quick hello! I've been a musician since 1983, ye ole Trumpet, and a guitarist since 1993 or so. I always wrote in fingerstyle as a natural reaction to the instrument, although I had never heard of the category or it's great masters at that time.
Recently I've picked the guitar back up and FINALLY started playing with open/alternate tunings. What a mistake I made in waiting. Everything is opening up for me now, and I've discovered I am first and foremost a composer...heh, perhaps never a guitarist!
Well enough of that, in then next few months I will make sure I start getting some music uploaded!Have you performed in front of an audience?I'm living in a small town in Oklahoma, having just moved back for some lengthy reasons. I'm actually focusing on my writing now more than ever before so I'm quite happy.
For all the naysayers just remember, Michael Hedges came out of this state!

Al Hirt, Charlie Parker, Wynton Marsalis, Arturo Sandoval, Beethoven, Handel, Hayden...well too many to list from my horn days.
Michael Hedges, Leo Keottke, Charlie Hayden, Andre Segovia, Murial Anderson, Billy Mclaughlin, Benjamn Woolman, Pat Methany...well this list becomes endless.
I won't list my musical stuff, as that is really long...suffice to say I love music, ALL categories from Al Greene and Janis Joplin to Massive Attack and Tool.What equipment do you use?
