Hey, my name's Erik, I'm a junior guy at Colgate University and I've got some aweseome melodic trance you need to hear. I think a lot of other techno/trance sucks because it's boring and repetitive, the kid of music you need to be @#$*ed up to listen to. Instead, I like to use catchy melodies and beautiful harmony with dance beats and bass to make music you can actually enjoy sober. Or you can listen to it @#$*ed up cuz then it's extra good.Band/artist history
I'd been writing music for a few years when I was on a bus trip to DC with my senior class when the kid next to me wanted to hear what I was listening to- a mix of my own stuff. Before I knew it the tape was passed around the entire bus because kids were going absolutely nuts over it. That's when I knew I had to get serious about this hobby and start getting music out to people.Your musical influences
Robert Miles was a huge influence, I love his combination of great piano melodies with dance music.What equipment do you use?
For these songs, I used a Yamaha PSR-540, Encore sequencing progam, and acid foundry. Pretty caveman compared to what I have now.Anything else?

Based on my background in music (9 years) and playing in several bands, I find this guys work to be original and pretty good. Not really my type of music but you can tell there was a good bit of effort put into his work and he's putting out some nice stuff. One thing that drew me here is the PSR 540 this guy is using, which I have ordered based on the quality of music he has put up on this site for all to hear. There is a major fraud on this site. The fraud is Danztronic. Dance tronic doesnt make any of his music. He primarily uses EJAY. If you dont know what ejay is, it's loopbased software (retail $19.99) made for those who are not talented enough to make their own music. He puts there songs up and has a cd for sale. How can you sell something you didnt make? This is a slap in the face of real musicians who work hours to make each groove, baseline, keys arr., ect. Danztronic you are a FRAUD! Why take up space on this site when a real musician can be in your place? I have checked out www.ejay.com and Danztronic can upload his arrangements there, where mostly everything is the same.
