Hi. I'm Jesse. I make noises and convert them to common digital audio formats. Some people listen to these noises. Some people like them. Some people don't. It's like a metaphor for life. It's also like hamburgers. Sometimes I make music with other people. This is music I make alone, or in the case of a lonely track or two, music I made with other people but don't give them credit for.
Most of the sounds created here with real instruments are improvised, I enjoy spontaneity and get antsy when I can't play around a bit musically in a song.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
At the moment, I only perform live in private. I very much enjoy playing out, and hopefully I'll have more chances to in teh near future.
Your musical influences
Tons, those coming immediately to mind being: Rush, Bela Bartok, Iron Maiden, Danny Elfman, Children of Bodom, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits, The Mars Volta, Mission of Burma, Guns 'n Roses, Operation Ivy, Rancid, the Misfits, Pink Floyd, Rage Against the Machine, the Cure, Queensryche, Nuclear Rabbit, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Van Halen, way too much music theory and experiementation. They certainly don't come out evenly in my compositions or playing, but they do inspire me to play.
What equipment do you use?
Instruments: Schecter Blackjack C1, Fender Lite Ash Stratocaster, Alvarez AJ60S acoustic jumbo, Fender Jazz Bass, Warwick Corvette Bass, Seymour Duncan and EMG pickups Roland RD700 Synth/Piano, Bach Stradivarius Trumpet, various software synths.
Amplification: SWR Workingman's 4004 Bass amp, Mesa/Boogie Stiletto Deuce head.
Effects/Recording: Primarily Electro-Harmonix and Line 6 guitar effects, with a Line 6 PODxt into an Apple Powerbook for recording. I use Apple Garageband for mixing.
Anything else?
I enjoy reading, and complaining to anyone who'll listen. I advise not listening.

Cool stuff! I like your echoing ideas, and many of your other stuff. You remind me somewhat of Vangelis electronic/ambient. Good job, keep up the good work! :)
