Trap-Pop

Grynd was a band who started around 1994 and broke up in 2002. Ive been asked alot to put the material online so here it is.
Band/artist history
Grynd was a band that started in 1994 and had a good run ending in 2002. The band started as Jesse Laberge - vocals/guitar, Travis Plouffe - guitar and Adam Richards -drums without a bass player for a good while. Colin hovi came on as the first bass player of the band and shortly after Travis Plouffe was replaced by Tyler Chappell in 1998. A little while later and after their first cross Canada tour Colin Hovi was replaced by Dave Angell and Adam Richards replaced by Derek Shaffer. After about 6 years with the band Tyler Chappell's slot was filled very breifly by stand in Ryan Marchand. The band played in, out and between so many different styles and seemed to be able to open for just about anyone. SKate punk, pop punk, metal, Rock n roll, hard rock etc are some of the genres we touched on. In the bands time together we opened for a lot of amazing band of so many genres including: SamIam, Bigwig, Default, Dayglo Abortions, Gob, Ignite, Misfits, Treble Charger, Choke, Moneen, Face to Face, Guttermouth, Subb, Reset, Belvedere, We released "half a day" a 6 song EP of earlier written material recorded in 1997 and released in 98/99 and it sold pretty well locally and on tours. We then did a few 1 off recordings in various studios which are all up on here but we never made full albums out of them and all the songs were re-recrded in the 2nd CD sessions. The 2nd CD was worked on for a long long time and most of the material never saw the light of day due to never being fully completed though there has been talks of finishing it up just so we can have a little something more to show for so much hard work. I am putting a few of the rough mixes of the newer stuff online.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
In the career of the band the band probably played 300+ shows in and out of Thunder Bay.
Your musical influences
Too many to really touch on but a few would be Faith no more, Face to Face, No use for a name and many others.
