jan diwana is my artistic name i sing in 5 language, write, compose ,arange & produce world music both ordinary as well as spiritual music. basic is indian music.
Band/artist history
im singing ghazals & composing my own melodies since i was teen ager. I worked with the best classical tabla masters both in india & pakistan, sarangi sarod etc. i worked with dilraj kaur so called queen of punjabi film playback singer ( bollywood), bollywood arangers like ench daniels & so on. Norwegian sound & picture board has sponsored my forthcoming project PEACE(BHAJANS-INDIAN DEVOTIONAL SONGS-11 SONGS ALBUM) ENGLISH TRANSLATED SONGS) DR. STEPHEN GILL( MANY PEACE AWARDS WINNER) , JAN DIWANA(ME), MIRZA GHALIB, PSALMS & SOME TRADITIONAL BHAJANS ARE THE SONG WRITERS.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
yes, in april 2005 i sang with aworld class sarod player sudeshna bhattacharya ( she is nummber3rd in indian classical), nabakur is also aworld class tabla player. i sang in urdu-hindi-punjabi-english &norwegian. it was a successful, multinational concert. I m basically ghazal singer. i sing ghazal poetry of mirza ghalib(father of urdu poetry), even my norwegian ghazal is among the bollywood artists like shubha mudgal.( caza maria world cafe)

I M BASICALLY INFLUENCED BY GREAT GHAZAL SINGERS LIKE jagjitsingh, MEHDIHASSEN,TALATMEHMOOD,MOHAMMEDRAFI, JAGJIT, gulam ali,pt jasraj,ustad tari khan. IM EQUALLY IMPRESSED BY POP,ROCK.SAMBA, & SO ON... I LOVE WORKING INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS.
What equipment do you use?
I LIKE SOME SYNTHS & BLEND LITTLE BIT INDIAN INSTRUMENTS.
Anything else?
MY MESSAGE TO THE ARTISTS IS TO GIVE "PEACE " MESSAGE TO THE WORLD LISTENERS. LOVE MAKES PEACE & HARMONY WHICH IS THE IMPORTANT NEED OF THE WORLD.
