I really like to think I have my own sound and arrangements to my music. I like to keep the melodies and drum patterns simple a lot, but I definitely can make more deeper, complex arrangements to my music if/when necessary. I don't try to model or mimic my beats to sound like other producers out there. I hope I am a part of the next wave of young hip-hop producers. Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Chris Guest is the next up and coming hip-hop/R&B producer working under Gueststar Productions. He is from Philly, and looks to either get signed to a production deal by a major label eventually, or start his own label from the ground up. Right now Gueststar is currently working on the debut album for Philly artist Cody P and other GCGC (Gridy City Gimme Committee) artists. Gueststar Productions is also open to collab with other artists from other areas.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
bein a young producer i just try to make beats for whoever needs them.
Your musical influences
My influences are dr. dre, neptunes, swizz beats, timbaland, scott storch, the runners, polo da don, etc
What equipment do you use?
FL Studio 9 rand working on Reason too.
