Many describe Ruth's music reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez or Jewel yet still very much unique. Ruth's music is driven by haunting, powerful vocals infused with emotion combined with solid acoustic guitar work. Ruth began performing as a youth in local theatre productions in high school. While attending college she participated in guitar courses where she gained a love and respect for the guitar. Soon after, she began writing original music and performing at a local open mic night. Through much encouragement and local support her music began to blossom. She now has relocated to Las Vegas to persue a career in music working hard on her debut release a album of self produced original music. With enthusiasm and high hopes she continues on. . .Have you performed in front of an audience?I have just finished my first album "Little Miss Nowhere" and will be performing live on a regular basis around the Las Vegas area as well as Southern Utah.
Your musical influences
I have been infuenced by all types of music from classical to heavy metal. I began to sing by listening to Celine Dion and Heart but am constantly amazed by all types of music now. I respect artists such as Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Alanis Morisette, Jewel, Heart etc. I am influenced mostly by hearing the creations of other songwriters because I know that they have put their hearts and souls into their own music and know that I can continue to do the same.Contact
