Band/artist history
The band first formed way back in the summer of '99, at the time only Matt could play an instrument. The idea was there and since then the band have grown into what you see now. We started gigging in 2001, under the name everAfter and at that time we played as a three piece. We were mainly a covers band who played anywhere from barns to in the corner of pubs. We played our last gig under that name in March 2002 at Durham Rowing Club, and due to an unfortunate incident involving bubble wrap and Tom's wrist, everAfter didn't play anymore gigs that year. The band looked finished, there was no spark left, until in November after a round of drinks in the local pub we decided to ask Rich to join the band. After a string of failed singers/2nd guitarists, he gave the band a new lease of life and helped develop a heavier, rockier sound...and so there it is, the story of so many wasted days and the band that sprung up from them.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, our number one priority is to play live music, and bascially we are up for any gig, anywhere! We have been gigging frequently over the past few months which has been really good. We mainly play in and around Newcastle and Durham. In 2004 we're looking to expand and focus on the rest of the UK...the obvious cities..London, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow etc for gigs as we are slowly getting a fan base and will be excellent to expand and simply spread the word! Every gig has a different story, each are different and its good to compare crowd reactions to each gig we play! Its cool meeting new friends along the way too!
Your musical influences
Each member has a fairly unique taste in music which helps the band have a pretty unique sound. Bands like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Oasis, The Who, Feeder, Ash, Hell is for Heroes, Biffy Clyro, Vex Red etc
What equipment do you use?
Ibanez RG270, Epiphone SG, Gibson Flying V, Fender Stratocaster, Fender Jazz bass, Tanglewood Warrior 2, Westfield P-Bass, Laney Amp, Fender Roc Pro Amp and Fender M80 Bass Amp, Premier Signia drumkit, Zildjian Cymbals and Vic Firth Sticks Fender M80 bass amp
