YsS are a noise rock band with a "message". speaking out against capitalism, U$As
consumer culture and want for war - as well as addressing 9/11 and the U$s obssesive and continuing destruction of Iraq. theyve recorded a few releases, each one with a different fourth member for sound difference. their 55 minute long song buy nothing is their
newest recording, and was recorded live on Buy Nothing Day 2002. more improv experimental
noise rock!

YsS began on October 22nd 2001, with the recording of their first album, "the superiority idea". the band at that time consisted of liana benning, alex bruce, jared butler and cory thrall. they reformed again on Oct. 22nd 2002, this time with a different fourth member (travis thrall in place of alex) to record "WAR_I$_NEAT". they grouped up again, this time on Nov. 29th 2002 (with trevor alixopulos in place of travis) and recorded the 50+ minute long song "Buy Nothing". there are plans to play live, if any noise rock shows can be found.Have you performed in front of an audience?we have only recorded (3 albums), but we record completely live with no overdubs or studio layering/effects.
