It all started when I heard cephelectomy and xasthur were two and one man projects.I had been doing some techno music for a while, but they inspired me to take that extra step and cross the line.I have 4 cds now, all vary and are experimental in nature.Mal is all about discovering new grounds and incorporating into an amalgam that has no equivalent.Have you performed in front of an audience?This is a one man band project.Live is in question, the only real thing needed is contacts wanting such an experimental band such as Mal.
Your musical influences
Where to begin...I love the 80s sound of Tears for Fears and the Cure, and even some Duran Duran.I love also however the sound of black metal that is really ambient in keyboard and "depth down" sounds and distorted vocals beyond recognition.I recognize people such as Xasthur,Cephalectomy,and Leviathan.I also am a sucker for Melodic Death Metal such as Agalloch abd Opeth.What equipment do you use?
I use a lot of stock soundstons, like in the ten thousands. and use programs such as audacity,ejay,sony acid, finale series, and some fruity loops to manipulate and grapple the sound i desire.So i guess my equipment is solely my computer.Anything else?
