You Don't Know You Don't Know

This song was a total collaboration by the band. The lyrics were written by "SkudR" Jones and James "J.B." Bennett. The rest of the group had creative input on the musical arrangement.

Gospel

Webster’s dictionary defines a “jubilee” as a time of celebration. To be “jubilant” is a means of expressing joy. And, although not found in any dictionary, a “jubilaire” describes the character of one who has and demonstrates the attributes of its root word. In other words, a “Jubilaire” is a person that can be found expressing their joy through celebration. Likewise, it is said that “everything” grows or is big in Texas. Thus, the name, Texas Jubilaires aptly fits the spirit and character of this gospel quartet from San Antonio.
Band/artist history
In September 2002, Brother James Bennett was at a San Antonio Quartet Association program, when he was approached by “SkudR” Jones, and asked to form a gospel quartet. As the discussion continued, SkudR even volunteered to be a member of the group. J.B. (as he is affectionately known) went home and prayed about it and the Lord revealed to him, certain individuals who would be a great compliment to the group. The phone calls soon followed, first to SkudR, then Willie Franklin III, then to B.C. Eatmon and each one responded enthusiastically and agreed to join. Then James began seeking musicians and each one contacted agreed to help launch this ministry. They practiced hard, learning material and putting their unique ideas and arrangements to each song. The Lord continued to bless the group with each rehearsal. Once the group had been at a few churches their notoriety began to flourish. They were blessed to minister at West End Baptist Church, during the CD release of David Walker and Serenity, from Houston, Texas. As the group pressed on, the musicians and musical framework changed. However, the Lord blessed quickly adding other musicians as replacements. Now the group has transcended its original sound from mostly keyboards to a more traditional quartet feel incorporating two guitars, bass and drums.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
