The Show Must Go On The Show Must Go On
Tha Seekah is a truely unique and versitile artist with production styles described as a funk based fusion of East, West, North, and South mixed with a matchless lyrical content and philosophic perspective. Don't sleep on this. Peep this ishhh!Band/artist history
Commin with some of the most unique and essential Hip Hop music to hit the INDUSTRY'S scene TODAY!! This SIZZIN ARTIST'S name, 'Tha Seekah' Also Known As El Buscador was given, 10 years ago, to a 13 year old individual whose qualities were of a lot like the meaning(s) of the two words in unison. 'A pursuer'. The name was given to him by 'The K.I. Double D.' the epitome of this artist's method. Who had taught him how to compose flows as well as rock shows. An in depth look... Tha Seekah is a very hungry, talented, and misunderstood individual who sought for an outlet for which he could air his frustrations and as well as tell about life's truths as it is and was, not perfect.Since out the womb he had witnessed, first hand, his father's physical abuse inflicted on his mother. And the aftermath of Domestic Violence for five years. Also, during this time, at the age of 3 started to play drums, as his father is and was a old time Sax player, into Bands like Earth, Wind, and Fire, Cameo, and other Funk based influences out before and during that time. As well as into his base foundation of Latino influences. Thereafter a divorce, forcing him to be fatherless, and he grew up in,a all too familiar situation to his generation, a broken home. Never really able to have childhood to this point and years after. His mom moved he and his lil bother to Thornton, CO, where they and a stepfather lived. "He was a sick man. I never stayed home during that time cuz I didn't feel comfortable. I felt like a burden. So, I was always runnin tha streetz with some older cats that took me in, under their wings. And taught me not to be easily intimidated by myself. They said that they would protect me, when I needed it but also urged that I have to fight the battles I could handle myself." Exposed to the streets from which he viewed and did all too much by 7 years of age. "Drinkin, fightin and smokin was something that I seen everyday. I tried it on a few occasions. I thought that it was normal, to have to be afraid of gettin shot again." As one situation he was shot wit a CO2 point tipped pellet gun in the back at just 8. Forced to "get on his bike and ride." As the shooter pointed the gun at his face and gave him an altermadum to get shot in the face or 'ride' as the shooter's 'prey'. With the cops just warning the shooter, 'who was obviously white' and not pursuing a case. From his perspective he saw many double standards, while he was searching for the reason(s) why things were the way they 'were' and 'are'. And fantisizing about one day being a star. "Real life was hard round these times and my home life,... ...f*cked up! I used to sit and watch the Cosbys and be like, "Man, if only life was like that." Saddly realising it wouldn't be. I caught onto things kids my age weren't able to grasp." It finally hit his complex mind years later. As the cliche goes, "Everything happens for a reason." At that point it was understood and accepted, and so began his journey of self-knowledge and also integration of experiences he and a million others can relate with through his music. Spitting his lyrics, in both English and in Spanish, wit conviction heard on his voice. With every line spit and flow ripped, Tha Seekah's potential only grows with the tracks he makes. He is kind of accord, when speaking in terms of his staggering impact. I shocked that funk out these cats there. Some of the members of my pop's band, who do cover songs, were like, "Whose song was that?". I was like, "Mine." I don't do covers. I gotten a DJ's card and he bought one of my CD's. And he said he would play my single in the clubs he DJ's at in Denver. I felt pretty confident when he said I was the best he's hurd out of Colorado yet.
