One Man and One Guitar and a little extra

Experimental

Noise-fragments, analogue sounds and a lot of emotions are the main ingrediences for the compositions and improvisations of BACK TO EARTH YOU DRONES. It is always a one man performance but sounds like a whole bunch of people heading for the inside of sound and soul. " In other words I'm three. One man stands forever in the middle, unconcerned, unmoved, watching and waiting to be allowed to express what he sees to the other two. The second man is like a frightened animal thet attacks for fear of being attacked" and "there's an over-loving gentle person who lets people into the uttermost sacred temple of his being [...] and when he realizes what's been done to him he feels like killing and destroying everything around him including himself [...] But he can't - he goes back inside himself." Cited after Charles Mingus in "Beneath The Underdog" , Vintage Books(Copyright by Charles Mingus and Nel King, 1971)
Band/artist history
I've been recording since 1988 and will keep on doing so untill ...
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I like tiny little dungeons and clubs to play live in but did some festival-gigs as well. The bigger ones are more intense and more hardcore-sounding then the smaller ones. The poetry in small and the Wagnerian Operastyle in big venues!
Your musical influences
C.Mingus, Captain Beefheart, Japanese Noise, Faust, Can, John Cage, P.Boulez, Y. Hasegawa, Toshiro Mayuzumi
What equipment do you use?
Yamaha SU10, MPC2000, 16 track analogue inline desk, several taperecorders, turntabels, guitars, bass and a lot of microphones and headphones to record my sounds
Anything else?
