Alternative Hip Hop

A quartet of debutantes with a flair for extravagance, delicate melody lines, and frying pan percussion. Pop ballads with rusty vocals. The sound of your city falling to the ground, encapsulated in the delicate quaver of a violin string, and the warble of a clarinet. The rhythm of a heart beating, the sound of a train jumping the tracks, and the wind whistling through the trees, and the song of a sweet, dear bird... Take note, except for live recordings, all songs we have uploaded are subject to TOTAL REDESIGN. We have already taken down several because the redesign was so radical and we haven't recorded the new version yet. For a few more subtle songs, we left them up, and put notes on some of them. Plus, Charles is in Ireland or Scotland or one of those, for TWO WHOLE MONTHS so until then this will be a static page.
Band/artist history
The Love Tentacle Drip Society - A gruesome group of fellows. These four bon vivants, while traveling through Transylvania in 1863, encountered a dread demon by the name of Cinderhoof. They were, sadly, quite rude to him, for which he cast upon them a terrible curse. From that day forward, these for Tentacle Monsters, as their kind came to be known, roamed the earth, making an impact mostly in Japan, before settling in Charlottesville, VA, and taking on more human guises. They play the music as a Sirenic lure for helpless victims.
Your musical influences
Jeff Mangum, Tom Waits, Miss Kittin, Kraftwerk
What equipment do you use?
We use a Yamaha PortaSound VSS-30 Voice Editor, Garageband, a Little Mermaid cellular phone toy, and an alarm clock, and that's the extent of our electronic equipment. (I mean besides microphones and amps and stuff,)
Anything else?
If there is ever a citizen in need... we'll be there. If ever someone isn't rocking out hard enough... we'll be there. And that's it.
