Our nicknames are:
-Prymo (pronounced as prajmoo)
-Stiffy (pronounced as stiffie)
We just thought that these names are cool so that's why we've chosen them...
Together we're called the Us2p Bro'z
-The U is because we're born in Utrecht
-The s is because his nick is Stiffy
-The 2 is because we rap with the 2 of us
-The p is because my nick is Prymo
Bro'z is just because!Band/artist history
We started in 1998 with writing english raps. I (prymo) wrote the lyrics and we rapped them with a beat from the internet. We haven't had a mic yet so we just rapped to train our skills. On this path we went on for a while.
In 2003 Stiffy bought a mic for his pc, he ripped a beat from the internet and rapped a bit on that, i heard the tracked and made my own lyric for the track. We rapped Dutch from this point. It was a very emotional track called: (raak je kwijt). Eversince we where called the Sp BrO'z.
A month later we went to Stiff's cousin in Haarlem(His name's PCM and he's the producer of the Dutch rapper Pete Philly, check out www.ourmindstate.com if you're interested. We gave him the track and he listened to it, he thought it was good. We didn't have enough material to make more tracks in his appartement/studio. We wrote a lot of lyrics in the time between and in the Autumn-holiday we went back to PCM. We made the following tracks there:
-Meisjes
-Opscheppers
-Dieper dan diep
-Wie zijn wij
-Dikke groene stick
We gave these tracks to a lot of friends and schoolmates and they liked(espacially the girls liked it).
In January 2005 I (Prymo) bought a better mic myself and we've recorded a lot of new tracks on that mic. Eversince we are calling ourselves Us2p BrO'z.Have you performed in front of an audience?We haven't done any shows yet but if we're being asked by anywho we would do it with great pleasure...
Your musical influences
Our rollmodels in rap are Jay-Z and Nas. Other ones are G-unit and Eminem. Tupac is a great influence on our music, just as Notorious B.I.G and N.W.A. We like K.R.S One as well. And you can't forget great names as Royce da 5'9 and Snoop Dogg.
Don't think that American rappers are our only influence, we like D-men from Holland and Extince and Brainpower and Pete Philly as well.What equipment do you use?
We just use my pc with a simple beat maker from Magix and my micAnything else?
