Boston's own "funky, jazzy, bluesy, folky"
singer/songwriter Sarah Blacker, is both music
therapist in training, and charismatic performer. In
her original songs, she combines vocal elements of
20's era jazz, with soulful instrument-like technique,
metaphorical lyrics, and catchy, sweetly-obscure chord
progressions. Coined as, "A breath of fresh air, in a
furnace of pop hell," her new album will be ready for
audiences this May. To listen now, visit http://www.sarahblacker.com
I play live at least once per week. all over Boston, and MA, NH, RI, ME, NYC, NJ, PA, VT, and more. I love it, giving music as a gift to an audience, and making people feel something through sound; rhythm, melody, harmony, passion, and words, and soul. One of the best moment so far, was playing at the Eden Fest, Acme, PA last summer, opening for Vince Welnick at the Church of Universal Love and Music during a thunderstorm. The light show behind us was amazingly psychedelic, and so was the weather...I could go on and on about this one...
