Here are a few songs I've written and recorded in the English countryside over the last year or so. They are not folk in the sense that I sing about picking cider apples or pig farming (though I dont disapprove of either of these activities!), but rather songs massively influenced by nature and the anti-consumerist, anti-materialist and non-conformist lifestyle I love. If I had to describe them Id say they were honest and quiet songs, but Id really rather you made up your own mind about what they are and what they mean. I hope to God they arent as painfully lifeless as the "marketable" abominations you'll find in the charts. If you like them (or if you hate them) please give me an email at mongolian51@hotmail.com,

Joanna Newsom, a newish Harp-playing folk singer, is fantastic and Ray Lamontange and Bob Dylan and Nick Drake and I could go on forever...Anything else?

wow I love your songs.. they are beautifully composed, just the right mix of vocal and subtle accompaniment.! where are you based in the uk?
I found your bio interesting....I sort of understand the sentiment about signing on professionally as a musician...particularly how the "industry" will attempt to mold the artist to fit "their" definition of how the artist should create music.....I have found SO MUCH pure unbiased music on the internet that it DOES make me appreciate the efforts of the "average joe"....but I do like some of music I hear daily as well. Popular music gives me covers to play out...to mix with my original stuff....but I play the "covers" MY style. If someone wanted to pay me for my music..I'd give it shot.....but I've found over the years..that most people who want to "hire" you...prefer you play "free".....thanks for your songs....take care....RJG
