Hi, my name is Mike Kennedy. i just recently started using SoundClick again to share a few of the newer songs i have written in the past decade or so.
there's also some 80s-90s era stuff from when i played in a group called The Rayn,
my fondest live performance was also my first. it was at the hissom memorial center in oklahoma. hissom was an asylum for mentally impaired and ill youth. they were hands down, the most excited and appreciative audience for whom i've ever had the pleasure to perform.
growing up in church hearing my tenor mom singing Blessed Assurance.
when i was a kid, my father played bass and had his buddies over every other friday night or so. i sat in with them and tried to keep up on my acoustic. we played all the country favorites.. waylon, willy, merle, buck, george, hank... and on and on
rock influences; Beatles (of course), early Pink Floyd (think piper @ gates), REM, the Pretenders, the Damned, Velvet Underground, Elvis Costello, Psychedelic Furs, U2, The Stranglers, Nick Cave, The Stooges, Ramones, the Church, the Cure, the Doors, Television, Wilco, Neil Young. it's impossible to name them all.
mostly old acoustic guitars and a few telecasters
