We are an indie/rock band based in the UK. We formed in 1999, and have played several local gigs. We are looking for feedback on our tracks. We'd love to hear from you, whether it be ass-kissing hero worship, constructive criticism or telling us how bad we are! Whatever you're comments, we'd greatly appreciate them!
Band/artist history
Aurora21 was formed in October 1999 by Lee Derbyshire and Will Rose whilst studying at the same college. We have played a few local gigs, and are currently looking for more venues, and we have also played 2 shows in France. Originally called Aurora, the 21 was added after the chart success of an act with the same name. It doesnt signify anything, were just not very imaginative!! We started writing our own material in April 2000 and suddenly went on a song-writing spree, with 6 songs being finished in the first week. Originally we were a covers band, playing songs by Oasis, Blur, Radiohead, The Verve, Green Day, Nirvana etc, but realised that we would get much further if we wrote our own music. Will has been playing guitar for about 3 years, and had been in bands previously, but this is Lees first band. Lees singing experience had previously been limited to parts in musicals at school, such Grease, Bugsy Malone and Cabaret! Our first recording, a 3 track EP entitled Impure Seed, was recorded 1st October 2000. Have you performed in front of an audience?
We try to get as many gigs as we can. That way we can build up a strong local fan base and maybe even sell a few CDs.
