This song has a more black metal esque feel to it. There's a lot more dark guitar tones in this song.

Heavy Metal

Repressed Crusader's style is largely based on late 80's to early 90's thrash metal combined with percussional styles of more recent metal. Combined with powerful vocals, rather than the now mainstream emo or scream vocals, the band's sound stands out from many local bands out there today.
Band/artist history
Repressed Crusader's initial formation began in the summer of 2004 when drummer Nick Gallichio met guitarist Kiel McClelland. The pair shared similar views concerning the direction of the local metal scene's progression toward more hardcore and metalcore. Someone had to take a stand against guys wearing women's pants, hair with blonde streaks, and "vocalists" that did nothing but scream his or her faces off. Gallichio and McClelland set out to create a band that was heavily riff-oriented, combining guitar styles from 80's thrash metal, and drum styles from more recent thrash and death metal. After many seemingly endless lineup changes, the band's first lineup performed their first two shows in the spring of 2005. Shortly after their second show, Kiel and Nick decided to remove the bass player and replace him with current bassist, Bill Kornack. The group continued to write and perform with and without a lead guitarist. It seemed that no matter what, Repressed Crusader would always remain a 3 piece band, and recorded their demo, "...And Then There Were Three." The demo includes the first three songs written by Nick and Kiel: "Acid Rain," "Worthless Fortune," and "Warfare." Despite the lack of lead guitar parts (with the exception of Acid Rain, which on the demo features a solo by an inferior and deadbeat lead guitarist) the demo depicts the raw sound and motive of the band and its thrash influences. In the Summer of 2005, the band was approached by Elysian guitarist Usman Khan, who offered to play lead. With his incredible skill and talent, there was no way Nick and Kiel could deny Usman a place in the band, and performed their first show with him in September 2005. Now with a solid lineup and a growing following, Repressed Crusader plans on writing approximately 3 more songs in order to record a full length album which will be ideally finished in early 2006.
