the Ins
We're a rock/indie/psychedelic/folk/quirk rock band... yes that is a genre. Our sound, like so many other band's, is hard to describe.

The Ins are a band. And like all bands, we defy easy categorization. We are merely a band interested in making people's lives better through good ol' rock and roll.Band/artist history
the story of the Ins closely follows the story of the founding member, joel d. ptacek. joel's musical experience began by playing bass in the band "the Stationwagons". after many shows and climbing to the peak of local rock stardom, the SN/WN broke up when their drummer decided to further his education many miles from home. joel soon got together a new band, the Ins, and they began playing rock and roll along the lines of the Brian Jonestown Massacre and the Vines. they have achieved critical acclaim for their unique style, and have even received airtime on local radio stations. they are currently recording, playing shows, and working the publicity end of the rock and roll game.Your musical influences
Some influences: the Olivia Tremor Control, the Vines, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, Pavement, the Who... with bands such as these, who needs... Madonna?Anything else?
CD's are available on release by Taliesin Records for $2.00. Write us an email and we'll hook you up: the_ins_band@yahoo.com

Godbless
Nice stuff man. "Wanting" is my favorite. Stop by and check out my page even tho I doubt youre into the genre of music I make
Hey...This is just "It Won't Be Long."
You are a dirty con artiust, making me go through that laborious free download for something I already had.
I'm gonna shoot you an e-mail, because you probably never check this.
Hey Joel. It's me. Eli. I'm currently downloading "Getting Down with Aunt Jemima." A track with a very promising title, and not found on your stellar, two-thumbs-up album. I'm hoping it's good.
Um...Yeah. So anyway, I'm really just posting this to indicate that I have indeed checked out this site, and am finally ready to meet you ONLINE instead of in real life. My robot mother always told me never to arrange an electronic meeting with somebody I met offline, because even if people seem really nice in real life, you never know who's a hacker, but I'm feeling rebelious. Bring it on.
You may use this link to go listen to my music. I still just have the one track with barbershop in it, and it doesn't fully represent my vision for Barber-Hop, but check it out anyway, huh? If you don't, I'll put you on my list of people to track down and hurt after I grow to be a hundred feet tall.
