Grunge

We are a contemporary grunge band based in Bryson City North Carolina. Our goal is to be the rebirth of the grunge rock phenomenon that swept across America in the 90's. We are an extremely dedicated band. Our inspiration is drawn from bands like Nirvana, The Foo Fighters, Sonic Youth, Slipknot, Mudhoney, Probot, Alice in Chains, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, The Beatles, and other greats in the world of rock. We appreciate all of your support. We hope our hard work and dedication to our craft will pay off.
Band/artist history
We are a contemporary Grunge band based in Bryson City North Carolina. The band has been together for almost a year now and we are really starting to get ourselves into a good standing. We began slowly doing a few covers here and there at talent shows and open mic nights just trying to be noticed. It took some time and patience but we eventually began to get some feed back and also starting getting to headline some of our own shows. Our first show was on Halloween of 2004 to crowd of around 150-200 people. After October we began looking for other shows, booking one in December 2004, and three in January 2005. In December we played a thirty minute set at the Lift Coffee House in Cherokee NC. On January 13, 2005 we opened for a touring punk band out of Charlotte named Calabi Yow. On January 20, 2005 we played a two hour set at the Lift Coffee House in Cherokee NC. We played at Lift Coffee House on February 12th. We played a benefit concert for the WNC Big Brothers, Big Sisters on February 19th. We played Lift again on March 5th. On December 1, 2004 we released our first album, Numb. The album was twelve songs, all self produced and recorded. We have moved over 200 copies on our own and we know that if we could get some air time and advertising for it, we could sell a lot more. The exposure we want and need could very well begin a long successful career for us. We are an extremely dedicated band. We practice as many as two to three times a week while all of us still balancing High School and Sports schedules at the same time. We know that if we could get the opportunity to be heard we could go a very long way.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes, Anywhere we can for as long as we can because we rock hard and love to be on stage. Performing a cover of Nirvana's Sappy cola our lead singer cola falling flat on his back and rolling from one side of the stage to the other while playing the solo for the song.
