Pop Punk

This is probably the only real hardcore punk to ever come out of Redbluff, California. Redbluff is a rural, primarily agricultural area. About 2 years ago, Redbluff was scene to the execution style murder of police officer Dave Mobilio by Andrew McCrae. Redbuff was also where Cameron Hooker and his wife Janice held a girl captive inside a coffin like box and ritually tortured her for seven years. In addition the "Redbluff Round up" is considered the largest rodeo event in California. Please look up these stories on the web they are 100% true. Not that any of this has anything to do with Kids With Headlice, just that Redbluff is where they grew up.
Band/artist history
Kids With Headlice started around 1995 with Seth Reno (bass) and Corey Hake (rythum guitar) huffing glade and jamming to past the time. In 2000 the band was official formed with the addition of Cody Kennon(vocals/lead guitar) and Justin Peel (Drums). The name Kids With Headlice came from a song written by Cody, that included the lyrics "dont fuck with me I've got headlice." The band agreed that "Kids With Headlice," represents a metaphor for their childhoods as social outcasts. Between 2000-2004 Kids With Headlice played live shows throughout north valley venues and contributed two songs to the a local punk compilation titled "The Suburban American Tract-Home Project Volume III". In 2004 Justin was replaced by Ryan Patrick on the drums. In late 2004 Kids With Headlice recorded a nine song demo (DIY), and recorded three songs live at Fulcrum Records to be included in Suburban American Vol. IV. Currently the 'Kids' are still at it, writing new songs to mosh to, playing shows from Chico to Redding, and planning a West Coast tour for Summer 2005.
