Hip Hop General

Born and raised in Long Island NY, Mike became attracted to hip-hop music at an early age from local artists such as Rakim, De La Soul and Biz Markie. A musical enthusiast, Mike grew up attracted to all forms of music from R&B, Rock to Soul but it was artists such as Nas, Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. that opened his eyes to art of wordplay in the Hip-Hop genre. Mike became so infacinated with the music he started writing lyrics at the age of 12 and quickly learned he had a talent for the art. Mike's debut album, "Like It Or Not" was released in 2005 independently and received outstanding reviews from the hip-hop community. After a 6 year hiatus, Mike is back in the studio working on a mixtape with DJ Evil D titled "The Good, The Bad & The Evil" which will set up as a prelude to the long-awaited sophomore album "The D-Day Project" which is slated to be released by 2012.
Band/artist history
Long Island Hip-Hop at its finest. East Coast Rap needs to make a name for itself again. I shall be that answer.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Nothing live at this time. Once the release of the mixtape is out we plan on starting a few shows in the NY area. Stay tuned!!!
Your musical influences
Nas, Eminem, Notorious B.I.G., Wu-Tang, Tupac, Mobb Deep, Big Pun, Big L, Linkin Park and many others.
What equipment do you use?
A Mic
Anything else?
Be on the lookout for that Evil D mixtape. I plan on bringing the old school rap game back on the map. Plenty of new and old unreleased music will be unfolded. As far as the album goes, expect to hear something you never heard before. From me or anybody else for that matter.
