Ears to Hear is located in Orange County California. We play original Christian music and also do praise and worship songs.Band/artist history
Mark and Mike come from a background of drug and alcohol abuse. They got together in 1995 and played in a hard rock band. In 1997 they lost their drummer, and unable to find another that seemed to "fit in", they decided to change the style of their music and go into the more acoustic genre.Have you performed in front of an audience?We perform all over Southern California, from outdoor Christian festivals, coffee houses, malls, Churchs, to hardcore outreach events for rescue missions. Everytime someone accepts the Lord as their personal saviour it's a special moment for us.
Your musical influences
Mostly our songs are inspired from our personal experiences, but as for me (Mark), I'd have to say that Elvis was a biggie. I think Mike may have had been more influenced by hardcore punk (but I'm guessing).What equipment do you use?
The instruments we use are: guitars: Larivee and Taylor, Percussion: djembes, congas, and shakers. Sometime we'll use a keyboard.Anything else?
We both sing, and write the songs. Sometimes jointly, sometimes as individuals, but however they come to us, it's the Holy Spirit that inspires all the time. And to God we give all the glory.
