Uri Kabiri is a songwriter. His talent as a composer, recording engineer and arranger (with 2 gold albums) covers a multitude of styles (Pop, Rock, Modern & traditional Country, R&B, Adult, Contemporary, Christmas, Latin, Dance and instrumental), resulting in catchy and commercial songs written in collaboration with mainly English lyricists from all over the world.
He began learning music at the age of 3, and it rapidly became his life's passion. He opened his first professional recording studio when he was 12 and has since gained great reputation throughout the Israeli music community. He has had the honor of working with most of Israel's star singers and musicians, for whom he was not only a fantastic recording master and arranger, but also a precious advisor and friend.
Uri is also an accomplished actor who is most well remembered for his role in what has become a cult Israeli movie that was voted the 3rd "Best Loved Israeli Film of All Times". He has also played in various TV dramas, other films and has dubbed & musically produced cartoons such as "Tiny Toons-The Movie and "Tiny Toons-The Series", produced by Steven Spielberg, who greatly appreciated Uri's musical work .
He joined the Israeli Army in 88 as a lead entertainer, singer, actor and composer in the Air Force group.
One of the songs Uri produced, composed and arranged In 1995, has found it's way to the 1st seasons sound tracks of the hit TV shows "Sex & The City" & "The Sopranos" as well as to a movie called Bad Boy (A.K.A. "Dawg").
In late 1997, Uri was one of the arrangers of "Diva", the winning song that represented Israel in the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest.
He joined BMI in the year 2000, and began his own project, creating American-style songs in collaboration with handpicked singers and lyricists, all composed, recorded, arranged and mixed by Uri.
What differentiates Uri from other songwriters is the extremely wide variety of musical styles he is in touch with and can compose for, his joy in composing, recording and producing music, his exceptional ear, perfectionism and simple passion for what he does.
