A blend of folk and alternative pop inspired by the likes of Peter Gabriel, Elliott Smith, and Jeremy Enigk, Cotton reminds one that melody can relay an emotional message all its own, enhanced by poignant lyrics of human relation, triumph and failure.
For those who feel at home with introspective, rainy day melodies that trap just enough hope and pleading to draw the sun through the clouds, Cotton invites you to an engagement of music, melody and melancholy.
Formed in the Winter of 2003, Cotton is the musical explorations of singer/songwriter Jeff Williams. Drawing from his background as guitarist/vocalist in independent rock bands, Jeff began recording what would become Cotton's first release. As more songs came into focus, it became more apparent that Cotton was more than a
side project. Jeff had found his niche. Since that time, Cotton has become a full-time project and the sole musical focus of its author.
