to fix ur sound quality issue here is what u do
first up grade ur mic
next when u mix ur vocals u need to turn down the volume till the vocals blend with the beat the worst nightmare song is on now the vocals are way too loud and have too much bass and mids due to ur mic having bass and mid proccessing issues cant handle the bandwidth required by your voice
then step back from the mic all ur levels should be even and the same everytime you record a track usually i set it at 75%
next take ur time to write and make ur flow work for you dont try too hard be yourself every rapper u hear thats professional and signed will be in the vocal booth relaxed and at home the vocals they lay are fine tuned from the gate and they found there sound and are confident thats the most important thing more than ur content or the beat
so turn down the bass and mids on ur vocals try to adjust your volume levels before u lay the track and mix the vocals in good headphones and then when it sounds g
