Hello! We are an acoustic duo based in San Francisco, California.
Band/artist history
I've been playing and writing music for about 3 years. It's been a wild, crazy ride!
Eric and I started playing together about 1 year into our relationship. Since then we've been having a blast and it's taken my music to a whole new level.
A few years ago, my song "Hurricanes" was featured on Neil Young's website "Living with War", in "Songs of the Times", which is a huge honor.
One of our favorite moments was opening for my favorite band of all time, Blame Sally, at the legendary Freight & Salvage in Berkeley. I look forward to a long, fullfilling career in music.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes. we play regularly at several cafes and bars in San Francisco, and I host an open mic every Thursday at Bazaar Cafe here in the city. Other venues we've played at include the Freight & Salvage, Cafe Trieste (San Jose), Purple Onion (in North Beach), Brainwash Cafe, Sacred Grounds, Coffee Adventures, Simple Pleasures, Nomad Cafe in Berkeley, Coffee Catz in Sebastapol, and many more in and around San Francisco.
We love playing live and there are too many special moments to count. Once, I was playing at a tiny cafe near Pier 39 and everyone says Will Ferrell came in and sat and listened thru my whole set. I actually had no idea! Lots of great moments though - we love connecting to a new audience and making new friends. When people can relate to the lyrics, it's a huge reward.
Your musical influences
I have to say, mostly local groups I hear around the city. There is so much unknown talent out there, it's unbelievable- and inspiring. Also, a whole lot of 70's folk my parents listened to when I was growing up- James Taylor, Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell, Cat Stevens, Simon and Garfunkel.
What equipment do you use?
A guitar and my voice. We recorded our album using a Motu 8-pre, with 2 mics on each of us. We really do keep it simple. We actually prefer playing completely unplugged if it's at all possible in a venue.
Anything else?
We hope you enjoy our sound. We are a bit tired of hearing the same over-produced stuff on the radio and we want to be a refreshing change from that sort of thing. Simplicity is sorely missing from a lot of music right now, and our goal is to bring it back through performing and recording - our way.

"Hurricanes" is a fantastic song!!!! I just found out today that it is the inspiration for Paul Wilson's "Younger Days", which we covered on our new album "Bones to Pick" which was released on March 23, 2018. "Hurricanes" is a great piece of story telling and it is no surprise that it inspired Paul to write "Younger Days." Now that I have discovered your music, I will be sure to listen to more. Thanks, Lew Dawg Cloninger, The Stray Dawgs, Plantation, Florida
Great sound..
love your voice !
enjoyed this very much
Beautiful! So clean, so precise, rings so clear. If I ever get to SF, I'll come looking for you both.
lovely song great voice
Hi there,
Nice to see you back around! Better late than never! I myself don't get the chance to pop around the boards randomly the way I like to, so I at least try and check my own board and respond to any comments there. I've just checked out Follow Me, You and I, and Hangman so far. They're each lovely pieces in their own right, I think Hangman is my fav so far, your skill and professionalism shine especially in this one; the accapella at the beginning is a really beautiful blend between the two lines, both vocals are strong, pure and well matched to the other, nice harmonies too! I like the simplicity of your arrangements, simple guitar and vocals can be so powerful, your delivery is so pure and heartfelt. Best of luck to you!
Thanks!
Amy
