Growing up on the south side of Minnesota, there once was an artist named Rocky, also known as Rock City, who with a uniquely different sound and drive of his own, decided to step into the game to bring creativity back to the music scene.
"A beat should take an artist on a journey. I want people to feel my music before an artist puts lyrics to it."
At a young age, Rock City discovered a talented ear for using sounds, and used inspiration through everyday life to form his music.
At the age of 10, Rock began teaching himself how to play the keyboard step by step and perfecting his skill.Rock City was involved in jazz band, played the drums for his church, and learned to play the piano by ear. In 8th grade, other students watched Rock City's skills grow on the drums, this then led to Rock City teaching other students to play so they too could be involved in drumline. Rock City also made a hobby out of writing music, this only added to his multitalented background. He started to create his own beats, from rap songs, and television shows and especially favors the orchestra. Through experience at a young age, Rock determined he couldn't rely on other people's studios or equipment. Through hard work promoting on the street with Pharohs Entertainment at Southbeach nightclub,together they invested in a studio equipment. This was the beginning of his journey of learning how to make beats; from this he then developed his own personalized style.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes I play drums, every sunday at my church so I have that musical background. Also I play piano by ear, and I'm working on guitar.

Neptunes, Justblaze, Timbaland, scott storch, Dre, and Hi-tek i guess who ever is popping at the time.What equipment do you use?
acid 4.0, mpc 1000, sample cd's, triton keyboard and some live instrumens (drums, congo's and guitar).Anything else?
Yeah.... just remember 1 thing theres a lot of people doing music... just make sure you doing it from ya heart cause it won't last if it's 4 the $$$$.... easyContact
