sunset sunset
in a manner of speaking, im working towards a small beats ep, this is a happier tune than 'in darkness' but feels a little sinister. consider this the journey away from light, the closing of the day...

the chaff the chaff
a favourite idea of mine. im really fond of this beat, and its something i really want to do something with.... updated!

fight music fight music
one that i only work on when im vexed at something. has quite an angry feel.. as a direct result.

Outervisions Outervisions
again... more of the direction change.. i think yo can still hear that its me tho (which iv TRIED to do).

My band, my band, my band.... nah this is just me.
Iv been eager to try + get into producing for while, having ideas coming out of my head left, right + centre.
Iv always assumed it something i could do, so now iv decided to pull my finger out and get it done, iv got a wide variety of stuff. The beats iv got for mc's tend to be in the london grime style, and is quite demanding on the mc.
Iv put up a couple of (what i think are) my better beats, if you hear anything youd like to use, drop me an email an ill happily arrange getting a decent quality instrumental to you.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I dj, so in that respect i play live, but iv only been at this for approx 6 months, so playing live gigs of my own compositions by myself is a litte out of my range at the moment.
Your musical influences
I like to think that the wide variety of music im into reflects onto the productions i do, im heavily into jazz, and periodically play bass guitar for a little acid jazz band we occasionally put together.
I was weaned on blues and motown, so ill never remove that love from my veins, but being born in 1980 meant i had exposure to electronica in the 80s, rave, hip hop and jungle in the early nineties, all the while appreciating good music - wether that be your average guitar rock band, or your more than average rock band. I see the fantastic qualities that house and trance offers, along with garage - which i loved first time round, but not the more grimey version (until the last year or so).
Everything from sticky, to wookie, from coltrane to martin taylor, from 4 hero to roni size, from bjork to zero 7, from nirvana to metallica, from pharcyde to outkast, from macy gray to alanis morisette, i appreciate the best of all genres - surely this is what a true music head should be?
My major music love at the moment is the broken beat scene. People like danilo from inverse cinematics, kaidi tatham, dego mcfarlane, seiji (and the rest of the bugz crew), mark de clive-low all have had a massive impact on my perspective of what jazz can be in the past 4 years.
What equipment do you use?
Software based only at present.
Anything else?
Cha'mown!

What's Up roots
Snooping around just a little bit. I like swimming, this beat is right up my ally. All you need is a chorus and this beat would be set. If it's alright with you, i'd be honored to bless this beat.
But the rest of the beats are nice too.
