I started making music myself about 12 years ago because of all my flaky ex-band members. making a couple tunes with my old friend Dave too.Have you performed in front of an audience?No live play anymore. Extremely active parent. My kid loves music too. He got a laptop and a keyboard controller, MS20 Controller, Roland SH-32, Ableton, Korg padKONTROL, He started with a DJX-IIB Groovebox when he was 3. At 4 he got his own strat with a crate amp and a DOD GS30 floorbaord effects unit with wah pedal. I found he wasn't interested, so now he is 11 and has a zoom sampletrak sampler, mc-307, yamaha RM1x, Roland SH-32, 12 channel mixer, MS20 Controller, padKONTROL, Ableton, Radium 49, and still has the djx IIb, plus the djx II keyboard. I play with his equipment when he goes to his mom's house. He said maybe he'll learn guitar later, but likes the beats and keyboard stuff now.

I use a laptop. I also use an iPad 2 and an old Ibanez with a good pickup in it. Arturia Minibrute analog, Blue Lantern Modular synth, Waldorf Blofeld, M-Audio Venom. Lots of softsynths, had a mc303, korg EX800 and a quasimidi polymorph. Had a Yamaha SU700 for awhile too. Mix hardware and software synths and samplers now. Ableton Live for recording work. lots 'O' plugins now too. I play on my son's music equipment now too. All of it bought for less than $800.00 used. I started to miss hardware a lot. Software is great, but there is something about sitting in front of hardware pieces and composing without distractions that I like. I like Guitar Rig too. iPad apps are great for use as composing tools or just sound modules.Anything else?
My music will always be free until I'm signed (probably never) so enjoy! Music is my outlet to release the things I cannot say. Sometimes a feeling is better expressed with a soulful chord or a dark melody.Contact
