See website for more information http:www.pistolebastard.co.uk RumJunkie were formed in July 2003 from the remnants of Local Punk Heroes the Mighty CiderMetalFite. As CMF collapsed Frowdey and Aaron decided to form a three piece, moving away from the twin guitar punk of CMF towards a heavier but more melodic sound that would become RumJunkie. James was introduced to Frowdey by Tank at Rockers and RumJunkie was formed. The ethos behind RumJunkie was to be in no way limited by any genre, if it was felt that something sounded right and worked, then they would go with it. RumJunkie were eager to get away from the limitations that were imposed throughout previous bands. However, Rumjunkie has developed their own sound that is clear when they play. Distinctly CiderMetalFite like, the material is however a little deeper, lesser reliant on in-jokes. After a slow start that saw the possibilty of Aaron moving to Wales forever, the band survived and are now gigging with a vengance. Performing regularly at the Gothika shows put on by No Mercy piercing shop, they are also now looking at moving further afield.
