Slander is a heavy groove oriented band with classic rock vocals. The band is set to shake up and challenge todays mainstream sound!
Slander was formed in December 2001. In the span of one year the band has accomplished quite a bit.
Slander has released their debut CD entitled Nothin's Free. They have received regional airplay as well as in Missouri. Slander has been featured guest on such "Local Music" shows as "Homecookin'" on WDNS 93.3, "The Local Shots" on WKU's station WHHR 91.7 and "Local Axcess" on WPTQ 103.7.
Slander competed in the 2002 Mark Oval Black Memorial Battle of the Bands at the SOKY Fair with 13 other bands and went home with the 3rd place prize.
Slander has played many high profile shows such as the Freedom Fest. The band recently took their brand of rock to Nashville TN where they continue to win people over!
Slander is a band that knows what it wants and plans on making a huge mark in the music world!Have you performed in front of an audience?Yeah we play live whenever and where ever we can!! We're a band that LIVES for the stage. We usually play around town (Bowling Green, KY) but we have ventured out as far as Nashville TN. We hope to keep spreading the noise!!

Charles is really into Guns n Roses. Travis is more into the new music, new metal scene. Chris is a Kiss, Motley Crue, Ozzy,Alice in Chains & Godsmack fan! I'm into Kiss, Guns, Crue, Godsmack, Alice in chains and White Zombie/Rob Zombie.What equipment do you use?
Just straight out Marshall amps Les Pauls, Dean basses, Crate amps, and a HUGE drum set!Anything else?
We are planning on hitting the studio again in early 2003. We also hope to film a video and put it on an enhanced CD as well as a live video.
We've all been around for awhile....this is the time for a rock n roll revolution!!

Nice tune your really have the old school thing down. We are a band out of Pikeville Kentucky Alt. metal/hardrock oriented stuff. We are looking to gig with established bands in our area. If you like what you here give us holler back at the VM message board.
