Asian Assassin is one of the first Asian MCs in the hip-hop game. With his first album, "University of Complexity" dropping in 1999, he turned the heads of the underground hip-hop fans. The album consisted of life experiences while at college (from "Shady Women," "Alcohol time," and "Hoochie Hunter"). The first smash single was “Shady Women,” a dedication to all those shady ex-girlfriends who all love to hate. He later followed it up with “Hoochie Hunter,” which was very successful and was ranked as high as #23 on MP3.com’s hip-hop charts (just above Master P and Ice-T).
Asian Assassin was born in the Philippines in 1977. In addition, he also lived in Africa for four years while he was young. He now represents the Mid-West, more specifically the Northwest Chicago suburbs of Illinois. From the first time he heard rap music (LL Cool J, Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, etc.), he fell in love with the music and culture. His freestyle skills has been one of his trade marks.
